MusicMan
The ultimate, affordable solution to your music cataloguing needs. Tired of hassling with spreadsheets to manage your music? This software easily conforms to almost any existing cataloguing system. Organize music by category for easy retrieval. You can even store MP3 and PDF files of your music in the catalog. This software was created by a church music minister for music ministers. |
When I arrived at a church many years ago, they had their music all in a database that was difficult to understand and maintain. Many other churches have struggled with various methods from spreadsheets to who knows what.
I decided there had to be an affordable solution that was easy and intuitive to use, as well as satisfy all our needs. Unable to find anything that met all that criteria, I created MusicMan.
This software does everything I need it to do and I built it flexible enough to work for your church music management as well. You categorize your music by a short text identifier and then a three digit number (I didn't think many churches would have more than 999 songs in a single category).
Then you can record the arranger, composer, style, scripture reference, instrumentation and more...

If you have an orchestration you can also list the instrumentation, you can track performance dates and even the list of songs within a collection.
Using the "Listen" button, you can store an MP3 of the track for reference.
And if you receive your arrangements via PDF, you can even store the PDF directory for easy retrieval and printing of parts.
Finding a song is easy in the "Treeview" listing.

you can list songs by Catalog Number or by Title.
There's so much more to this than I can explain here. You have to see it to believe it.
