Psalms
77:11-14(NRSV)
11 I will call to mind
the deeds of the LORD;
I
will remember your wonders of old.
12 I will meditate on
all your work,
and
muse on your mighty deeds.
13 Your way, O God, is
holy.
What
god is so great as our God?
14 You are the God who
works wonders;
you
have displayed your might among the peoples.
What god is as great as our God? I am constantly bombarded with evolution and humanist ideas of creation. It sickens me. Although I really enjoy history, I am annoyed by “experts” who say this or that happened “60 million years ago.” They speak with such confidence about things they can only conjecture. I would have more patience if they would say “we think this happened…” or some such.
Moreover, proponents of evolution say they can understand everything about the Big-Bang except the first fraction of a second of the original “bang”. They speak of matter as though it always existed but never stop to ask, “Who created the matter to begin with?”
It occurs to me that they can’t explain that first fraction of a second because the god they have invented is not able to create matter. The god they have created is subject to the laws of physics and mathematics, is has little if any more power than they. How great is our God that created all things.
Let me be clear in this. Science does not disagree with the Bible—Scientists disagree with the Bible. What I mean is, that the evidence found in nature has never been an affront to the Bible. There have been times when man-made dogmas have been challenged by natural evidence, and we have had to re-think or discard our flawed dogmas. Likewise, scientists who have created their own gods, manipulate natural evidence to make conclusions that disagree with the Bible. They create theories that allow their own gods to rule and conveniently neglect to acknowledge their ideas are merely “theories.”
Psalms
8:3-4(NRSV)
3 When I look at your
heavens, the work of your fingers,
the
moon and the stars that you have established;
4 what are human
beings that you are mindful of them,
mortals
that you care for them?
What god is as great as our God? Give praise and honor to He who created all things and caused all things to be. Consider the evidence that nature displays. It glorifies Him. Will you also lift Him up as your God?
