Isaiah 12:1

In that day you will say:

“I will praise you, O Lord.
Although you were angry with me,

Your anger has turned away
        And you have comforted me.”

Isaiah contains many warnings to Israel concerning their turning away from God.  However this particular passage is one that predicts what Israel will say in the day of restoration.

Isn’t it wonderful to know that our God loves us so much that even when we turn from Him, He longs for the time when we will be restored?  And when we are restored, He comforts us again.  He will not abandon us for a failure, or even for multiple failures.  Like a loving parent, He wants us to be with Him and He wants to comfort us.

Have you turned from God?  Do you need to be restored?  Give Praise to God and He will comfort you.
